Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at a luxury care home in Oxfordshire. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for leading the smooth operation of the kitchen, planning and preparing meals that meet the high standards of our residents.
About the Role:
- Lead the kitchen team in the preparation and cooking of meals, ensuring high-quality dishes that meet the dietary needs of our residents.
- Work closely with the Head Chef to plan menus, manage inventory, and maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
- Monitor and maintain cleaning schedules to meet the requirements of the Food Safety Manual.
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is in good working order and report any damage or faults to the Home Manager.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to achieve excellent customer service and maintain a positive working environment.

Requirements:
- Experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment with an emphasis on fresh and seasonal produce.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and maintain a calm and professional demeanor.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
- Ability to work a 37.5 hour week, including mixed shifts patterns.
