Responsibilities

Job Purpose

Innovate and spearhead all SEO initiatives for the assigned project (e.g., migration, new website launch, etc.). Oversee the execution and delivery of all essential SEO outputs required for project success. Achieve exceptional ROI in relation to the SEO efforts undertaken.

General Duties

Take ownership of each designated SEO task from inception through to results reporting. Manage, mentor, and support team members. Optimize all aspects of SEO for your project to drive maximum organic growth (e.g., content, technical elements, etc.). Act as a technical SEO advocate by conducting necessary website audits and collaborating with relevant teams to implement SEO best practices (e.g., Core Web Vitals, structured data, etc.). Stay informed on industry news, search engine updates, and trends. Report on project SEO advancements to senior stakeholders, showcasing results achieved against KPIs. Collaborate with the content team to leverage, create, and contribute to content strategies aimed at maximizing SEO growth potential. Ensure that content and technical SEO enhancements are consistently presented and taken into account. Assist internal teams in understanding search engines and achieving organic growth through SEO improvements. Work closely with various internal/external teams and regional offices to identify commercial SEO growth opportunities and prioritize SEO initiatives. Promote SEO within the organization by demonstrating how it can enhance conversions.

Qualifications

Knowledge and Experience

Proficient in both English and Japanese. Experience in international SEO—working with global domains featuring multiple subfolders/websites for different regions/languages that attract traffic from various search engines. Experience in a regulated financial environment is advantageous. Hands-on experience with industry tools: Google Analytics, Semrush, Majestic, Screaming Frog, Microsoft Excel, etc. Comprehensive understanding of search engine ranking factors. Strong technical SEO knowledge. Familiarity with key SEO verticals and rich results: news, video, Google My Business, etc. Solid understanding of how content influences SEO efforts and strategies for optimization.

Qualifications and Skills

ROI-focused approach to task prioritization. Strong grasp of reporting and web analytics.
