About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our team as a Placement Student in Quality for our Genset Business Unit in Daventry. As a Placement Student, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a global organization and develop the skills and knowledge needed to become an expert in the industry.
Responsibilities
- Work under the guidance of the NPI coordinator to introduce new, unique, and upgraded parts and products within the plant.
- Collaborate with external business functions to understand the entire new part introduction process from initial engineering design through to full production implementation.
- Attend design review meetings and complete engineering design reviews for the NPI department.
- Create and manage production process documentation and record and update issues on the database.
- Support NPI engineering builds through the manufacturing process and organize and lead meetings with various stakeholders.
Requirements
- We are looking for a wide range of applicants studying towards a bachelor's degree from across all engineering, supply chain, or other related subjects.
- Good PC literacy and knowledge of 3D modeling software (SolidWorks/Creo/Fusion 360, etc.) and MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
- Practical approach to support technical innovation, ability to recommend improvements, and ability to manage own projects.
- Attention to detail, analytical skills, communication skills (verbal and written), time management and prioritization skills, and proactive attitude.
