About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Care Support Assistant at North East Autism Society. Our adult residential homes provide a safe and supportive environment for autistic and/or neurodivergent young people and adults, enabling them to lead fulfilling lives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support adults in our residential homes and out in the community, promoting independence and autonomy.
  • Assist with daily living tasks, such as personal care, meal preparation, and household chores.
  • Encourage and facilitate social interactions, leisure activities, and community engagement.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with service users, their families, and other stakeholders.
  • Contribute to a collaborative team environment, sharing knowledge and best practices to enhance the quality of care.
Requirements
  • A strong commitment to supporting individuals with autism and/or neurodiversity.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with service users and colleagues.
  • Flexibility and adaptability, with a willingness to learn and develop new skills.
  • A positive and solution-focused attitude, with a commitment to delivering high-quality care.
