We are seeking a compassionate and proficient Key Stage 2 Educator to become a vital part of our committed team, making a meaningful difference in the lives of our students.

You will be engaging with students transitioning to Year 7.

The role is available for educators who have experience with pupils at the KS2 level.

Our institution is dedicated to creating a secure and stimulating educational environment for students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges.

As an Educator, you will conduct engaging lessons for Year 7 students, nurturing a supportive setting that promotes both academic achievement and social development.

Working alongside our team, you will devise strategies to assist students with behavioral challenges and encourage positive results.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement inclusive lessons tailored for Year 7 students with SEMH requirements.
  • Foster a nurturing classroom atmosphere that encourages participation and learning.
  • Employ effective behavior management strategies to address behavioral issues.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, families, and external partners to cater to students' unique needs.
  • Track student progress and provide consistent feedback.
  • Assist in the creation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behavior management plans.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent credentials.
  • Experience with KS2 and KS3 students, particularly those exhibiting challenging behaviors.
  • Strong understanding of SEMH needs and behavior management techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • A nurturing and patient demeanor with a sincere commitment to supporting vulnerable students.
  • Capability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Qualities:

  • Previous experience in a SEMH environment or with secondary students.
  • Additional qualifications or training related to SEMH or special education.
  • Familiarity with trauma-informed practices and restorative approaches.
