Puro Accountancy is seeking a skilled Accounts Senior to join their expanding team in Nottingham. This role offers a great chance to work with a well-established firm of Chartered Accountants and contribute to their success.

About the Role

The Accounts Senior will be responsible for preparing and completing accounts, ensuring VAT returns are completed within agreed deadlines, and identifying possible improvements to client systems. The ideal candidate will have AAT or ACCA/ACA part-qualified status, at least 3 years of practice experience, and proficiency in cloud-based software including Xero and QuickBooks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and complete accounts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Manage VAT returns and ensure they are completed within agreed deadlines
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes
  • Liaise with clients and resolve queries in a professional and timely manner
  • Support and review work prepared by junior staff
Requirements
  • AAT or ACCA/ACA part-qualified status
  • At least 3 years of practice experience
  • Proficiency in cloud-based software including Xero and QuickBooks
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage a busy workload and prioritize tasks effectively
