About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Licensing Manager to join our team at Hearst UK. As a key member of our commercial team, you will play a crucial role in driving revenue and profit growth for our business through strategic partnerships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a robust revenue and profit growth strategy for each licensee, working closely with our Director of Licensing to achieve targets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across our partner groups, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Manage the development and implementation of new product ranges, packaging designs, and sales collateral, leveraging Hearst's insight sources to inform product development and marketing strategies.
  • Oversee the internal approval process for product and packaging proposals, ensuring adherence to Hearst's brand style guidelines and maintaining the highest quality standards.
  • Create and execute sales and marketing campaigns around product launches and seasonal peaks, making effective use of budget and leveraging Hearst's routes to market.
  • Collaborate with our editorial and creative teams on content, photography shoots, and sales collateral.
  • Maximize discoverability of our brands within licensee marketing campaigns, ensuring our brands are easily discoverable through online searches and on licensee websites and social channels.
  • Conduct regular in-store visits and provide feedback on quality of execution and staff knowledge of our brands.
  • Expand partnerships into new product categories across more Hearst brands, collaborating with our commercial team on advertising commitments as needed.
  • Ensure contractual deliverables are met by both Hearst and each licensee, managing contract reviews, negotiations, and renewals.
  • Set and manage quarterly business reviews with senior stakeholders, ensuring all actions are followed up on.
  • Manage sales and revenue forecasts, creating KPIs to measure success and demonstrating marketing effectiveness.
  • Develop annual satisfaction surveys to measure licensee and Hearst satisfaction, sharing findings and opportunities for improvement.
  • Embed yourself within licensee operations teams, holding regular in-person discussions and creating hospitality opportunities to bring stakeholders together.
  • Review the competitor landscape and present opportunities for Hearst and its licensees to win in each category, ensuring competitive pricing within legal limitations.
  • Create opportunities to develop commercial growth beyond licensing.
About You

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Licensing Manager who can bring a proven track record of success in partnership management of major blue-chip brands. You will have the ability to research macro and micro economic factors and translate these into business opportunities, as well as build growth strategies with strong articulation and insightful presentation skills.

You will be a strategic and analytical thinker with excellent organization skills, a good team player, and advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills. A passion for home and interiors is also essential.
