Operations Manager Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive individual to take on the role of Operations Manager. In this position, you will play a crucial role in the safe and efficient operation of our client's state-of-the-art plant.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and monitor our plants globally on a 24-hour basis, prioritizing safety and efficiency.
  • Investigate any issues or disturbances that may arise in plant operations.
  • Report on plant performance, monitor KPIs, and manage alarm systems.
  • Ensure customer demand is met while maximizing cost efficiency.
  • Recommend improvement strategies for identified performance issues.
Requirements:
  • A Higher National Certificate (HNC) or higher qualification in electrical, instrumentation, chemical engineering, or a related process field, or equivalent on-the-job experience.
  • Proficiency in analyzing and resolving problems, conducting fault-finding, and investigating process issues through data trend interpretation.
  • A strong commitment to safety, with the ability to make swift decisions to prioritize business and safety considerations.
  • Interest in acquiring new skills, fostering personal development, and embracing challenges.
  • Previous hands-on experience in control room operations using HMI software such as SCADA/PCS7 Siemens.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, including the ability to influence and collaborate within a high-pressure team and fast-paced environment.
