Job Title: LGV Class 1 Driver

Rapier Employment is seeking a reliable and experienced LGV Class 1 driver to join our team. As a Class 1 driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods between various locations efficiently and in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Transporting goods between various locations efficiently and in a timely manner.
  • Conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure road worthiness and reporting any maintenance or mechanical issues.
  • Providing exceptional customer service.
  • Meeting the minimum requirement of 4 shifts per week and a minimum of 8 hours paid per shift.
Requirements:
  • Full UK Licence (Cat C+E)
  • CPC Card
  • Digi Card
  • Minimum of 6 months continuous Class 1 driving experience.
Working Hours:

The ideal shift patterns for this role are Sunday to Thursday, Monday to Friday, and Tuesday to Saturday. The hourly rates for this role are as follows:

  • Monday to Friday days: £19.00
  • Monday to Friday nights: £20.00
  • Saturday: £21.00
  • Sunday: £22.00

Overtime pay is offered at time and a half after 8 hours daily.

Recruitment Process:

The recruitment process for this role will involve an initial assessment, which includes a classroom session and a 2-3 hour driving assessment. This will be followed by a full induction, after which drivers will be put onto a fixed rota.
