Job Title: Air Traffic Control Specialist

Job Summary:

NATS is seeking a highly skilled Air Traffic Control Specialist to join our team at Farnborough Airport. As an Air Traffic Control Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient movement of aircraft through our airspace.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily operational checks of key Air Traffic Control systems
  • Maintain operational safety and ensure compliance with strict aviation regulations
  • Manage and execute scheduled servicing, planned & preventative maintenance
  • Fault finding, modification and unscheduled maintenance and repair of systems and services
  • Support projects throughout their lifecycle (subject to capacity and capability)
  • Provide on the job training for other engineers within scope of competency and in accordance with operating procedures
  • Liaise with local Air Traffic Controllers and the Airport Operator to swiftly resolve issues

Requirements:

  • Engineering qualification to Higher National Certificate (NVQ Level 4) or equivalent as a minimum - within Engineering, Electronics, Telecommunications or Computer Science or evidence of structured engineering training, such as a recognised apprenticeship in lieu of the above qualifications
  • A background in Aviation is advantageous, but also willing to consider those from Military, transport & infrastructure, or other safety critical industry experience (i.e., Maritime, Rail)
  • A full UK Driving Licence is required for Airside driving when required
  • Flexible approach and attitude and ability to work unsupervised
  • Willing to be a Team player and support others where required

Working Hours: Rotational shift pattern Monday to Friday within the hours of 06:30 - 19:00 with the requirement to be On-Call 1 in 3 weeks.
