Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled HLTA to deliver PPA in the afternoons at our academy. The successful candidate will be someone who:

  1. Is an outstanding role model and sets high expectations for themselves and the children.
  2. Is a flexible team player who is willing to take part in the full life of the academy.
  3. Can deliver a range of interventions to support children and effectively uses ICT to support teaching and learning.
  4. Plans and prepares teaching and learning objectives using a scheme of work, adjusting activities/work plans as appropriate.
  5. Undertakes marking of planned work and monitors and evaluates pupil responses to learning activities using a range of assessment and monitoring strategies against pre-determined learning objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver PPA in the afternoons
  • Support children with a range of interventions
  • Use ICT to support teaching and learning
  • Plan and prepare teaching and learning objectives
  • Mark and evaluate pupil work
