Academics is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teacher of Physical Education (PE) to join a 'Good' school.

**About the Role**
  • Teach PE across Key Stages 3 & 4 to students of all abilities, promoting a culture of physical activity and well-being.
  • Demonstrate a proven track record of securing outstanding student outcomes, including academic achievement and personal development.
  • Deliver PE to Key Stage 5, with the opportunity to develop and implement innovative curriculum programs.
**Requirements**
  • Hold a good honours degree in a relevant subject, with a qualification to teach PE at KS3 and KS4.
  • Have successful experience of teaching PE in a comprehensive school, with a proven ability to motivate and engage students.
  • Have experience of teaching GCSE PE, with a strong understanding of the curriculum and assessment requirements.
  • Evidence of further study or training, demonstrating a commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Have a deep understanding of current curriculum issues in PE education, including the importance of physical activity and well-being.
  • Be able to communicate clearly, both orally and in writing, with students, colleagues, and parents.
  • Be sympathetic to the aims and ethos of the school, with a commitment to promoting a culture of excellence and inclusivity.
  • Have a strong understanding of, and a commitment to carrying out, equal opportunities policies, promoting diversity and inclusion in all aspects of school life.
**Responsibilities**
  • Teach PE to students in Years 7 to 11, developing and implementing engaging and challenging lesson plans.
  • Teach GCSE PE in Years 10 and 11, with a focus on academic achievement and personal development.
  • Plan and prepare courses and lessons, including the development of schemes of work and assessment materials.
  • Contribute to the work of the department, including the review and update of curriculum programs and assessment materials.
  • Take responsibility for students' health and safety in your lessons, promoting a culture of physical activity and well-being.
  • Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of students, including the use of data to inform teaching and learning.
