Site Engineer Apprentice

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Site Engineer Apprentice to join our Infrastructure team at Galliford Try Group. As a Site Engineer Apprentice, you will play a key role in supporting our construction projects and contributing to the delivery of high-quality infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the coordination of site engineering control and setting out activities, ensuring that all works are carried out in accordance with the project's requirements.
- Provide information to operatives and subcontractors, ensuring that they are aware of the project's objectives and timelines.
- Undertake material reconciliations, ensuring that all materials are accurately accounted for and that any discrepancies are promptly addressed.
- Ensure that all surveying equipment is calibrated and maintained, ensuring that accurate measurements are taken and recorded.
- Carry out as-built surveys on complete works and drawings, ensuring that the project's documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
- Produce 2D & 3D site sketches, providing visual representations of the project's progress and any issues that may arise.
- Assist in maintaining quality records, ensuring that all works are carried out in accordance with Inspection & Test Plans (ITP) and that the as-built records are accurate and complete.
- Assist in basic planning, monitoring & programming, ensuring that the project's timelines and milestones are met.
- Control and minimize waste on site, ensuring that the project's environmental and sustainability objectives are met.
- Read & Interpret data and drawings, ensuring that all information is accurately understood and communicated to the project team.
- Foster a flexible attitude to work, being adaptable and responsive to changing project requirements.
- Hold a relevant CSCS card, ensuring that you have the necessary qualifications and certifications to work on site.
- Develop Office 365 expertise, ensuring that you are proficient in using the latest technology and software to support the project team.
