Job Overview

At TE Connectivity, we're looking for a skilled Supply Chain Support professional to join our team. As a key member of our supply chain team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the timely and cost-effective procurement, inventory control, and planning of production materials.

Key Responsibilities

  • Make commitments to customer orders based on robust material supply and capacity plans
  • Establish lead times for each operation to meet shipping dates and commitments according to sales forecasts or customer orders
  • Expedites operations that delay schedules and alters schedules to meet unforeseen conditions
  • Manage execution of plans and raise manufacturing orders based on capacity
  • Provide planning support for new projects in the factory
  • Support continuous improvement ethos and methodology across the organization
  • Pro-actively and responsively deal with suppliers, place orders, and chase for deliveries considering inventory management constraints
  • Ensure MRP messages are up to date and in control within the portfolio

Requirements

  • Very good understanding of the supply chain in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience in a dynamic manufacturing environment, specifically in production planning
  • Very good experience in dealing with production plans and production planning issues
  • Experience dealing with customers and customer escalations is highly desired
  • 5 GCSEs grade A-C (or equivalent)
  • Computer literate, with a good understanding of ERP and Microsoft Office software
  • SAP experience is essential
