Job Title: HGV Class 1 Livehaul Drivers

We are seeking an experienced Class 1 driver to join our team at our Brackley depot. As a key member of our livehaul operations, you will play a crucial role in transporting live poultry safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collect and deliver livestock from farms to our Brackley site.
  • Ensure load security and monitor bird welfare during transportation.
  • Transport finished, refrigerated goods nationwide as required.
  • Complete relevant paperwork, including weighbridge slips and poultry transport certificates.
  • Provide shunting cover when necessary.
  • Maintain communication with the transport office regarding any delays or issues.
  • Adhere to Health and Safety regulations and wear provided PPE.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 6 months of Class 1 driving experience.
  • Valid CPC and Tacho Card.
  • No more than 9 points on your driving license.
  • Strong understanding of driver regulations.
  • Flexibility and a positive, proactive approach.
What We Offer:
  • Guaranteed hours: 50 hours per week, with paid overtime and breaks.
  • Hourly rate: Starting from £17.90, plus £0.50 bonus per hour when transporting livestock.
  • Unsociable hours premium: Additional £1.25 per hour for shifts between 18:00 - 06:00, including weekends.
  • Minimum annual salary: £47,840, with potential for higher earnings depending on hours worked.
