Job Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Psychologist post within Wrexham Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) in North Wales. This is a full-time permanent position based in the Child Health Centre next to Wrexham Maelor Hospital with travel into the community across Wrexham and Flintshire.

About the Role

As an Assistant Psychologist, you will assist in the provision of a psychological service to clients within the specialty under the direction of the supervising clinical psychologist. Your responsibilities will include planning and prioritizing your workload, undertaking assessments of clients, and implementing programmes of care or intervention following guidance from the supervising clinical psychologist.

Requirements
  • A Psychology degree (or higher)
  • Experience of working therapeutically with children and adolescents within a health, social care, or educational setting
  • The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply
