Senior Data Solutions Architect

Become a key player in shaping our data architecture and driving business growth as a Senior Data Solutions Architect at Jet2. Key Responsibilities:- Design and implement data solutions aligned with our business initiatives, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
- Collaborate with data and application architecture teams to develop future-focused designs, with data at the heart of everything we do.
- Evaluate technology options, build proof-of-concepts, and provide high-level estimates for new initiatives.
- Participate in our data architecture forum and wider architecture forum to guide technology choices and building blocks across the organization.
- Proven experience in a technical role with extensive exposure to data, including data architect, data engineer, data analyst, software engineer/testing, DevOps engineer, data scientist, or similar relevant experience.
- Solution-driven and analytical mindset, combined with creative skills to communicate complex technical concepts to various audiences.
- Leadership potential, with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and business stakeholders.
- Hands-on experience in projects related to data solutions, including data delivery/management, data lake, system integration, data migration, and data warehousing with cloud-based data platforms.
- Good data modeling experience, with the ability to set up data structures to support delivery and contribute to opinions on data modeling across the enterprise.
- Sound knowledge of modern data solutions, including data lakes, data platforms, data streaming, and data security best practices.
- General knowledge of cloud-native computing and public hyperscalers (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
- Interest in new technologies, methodologies, and concepts, such as data governance & management, data mesh, data vault 2.0, delta lake, DWH automation, and event streaming.
