Role Overview:


The primary objective of this position is to deliver expertise and support in engineering disciplines, particularly in mechanical services, for a diverse range of projects managed by the Estates Capital Projects team.

This includes overseeing the series of infrastructure enhancement initiatives aimed at modernizing facilities.


This position serves as a liaison for Contractors, Designers, Project Managers, and the Programme Manager regarding engineering inquiries, design specifications, coordination issues, assessments, surveys, and collaboration with the Facilities team responsible for engineering services in ongoing operations.


Key Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Project Engineer with a mechanical focus, engaged in a variety of building, infrastructure, or construction projects.
  • Excellent communication abilities, facilitating effective interaction with internal stakeholders, external consultants, and contractors.
  • Familiarity with Building Regulations, construction standards, and safety protocols including CDM, COSHH, and Manual Handling.
  • A recognized mechanical apprenticeship or equivalent qualifications at degree level or HNC.
  • Solid understanding of standard mechanical engineering systems and infrastructure.
