About the Role

Cedar Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to join our team as a Management Accountant. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to work closely with our finance team and contribute to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and present month-end financial statements for publishing divisions, ensuring accurate revenues and costs.
  • Produce and present divisional month-end packs, providing key financial analysis and KPIs for Commercial Directors and the CFO.
  • Assist the finance team with accounts preparation, including posting journals, running reports, and circulating monthly packs.
  • Perform month-end and quarter-end balance sheet reconciliations for all relevant accounts, providing detailed explanations for any variances.
  • Prepare statements of earnings and costs on specific titles to enable payment to authors of their profit share.
  • Assist in the year-end statutory and ongoing internal SOX audits.
  • Provide assistance and support during the annual budget process.
  • Work closely with Commercial Directors and divisional teams to better understand actual and forecast data.
  • Oversight of manual invoicing process.
  • Facilitate the recording of Amazon marketing costs.
  • Perform ad hoc analysis for Group Finance and divisional teams.
Requirements
  • Commenced CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent accountancy qualification.
  • Industry experience in preparation of management accounts.
  • Excellent Excel skills.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge or experience of financial accounting software.
  • Working knowledge of a finance function and commercial/business understanding.
