Import Freight Forwarder Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Import Freight Forwarder to join our team at Manchester Airport. This role involves managing ocean import consignments, communicating with clients and suppliers, and overseeing the profitability of allocated accounts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for ocean import consignments in line with standard operating procedures.
  • Manage an agreed number of customers and ensure the full operational cycle is completed, including entries, clearances, customs processes, and VAT/Duty payments.
  • Internal and external communications with clients, suppliers, and overseas agents.
  • Oversee the regular update and completion of pricing records for allocated customers.
  • Monitor the profitability of allocated accounts and seek opportunities to increase profitability and GP/TEU performance.
Candidate Profile:
  • Predominately experience in Imports-Freight Forwarding.
  • Strong operational knowledge (start to finish).
  • Use of Freight Forwarding software and CDS entries.
  • Excellent customer services and sound organizational skills.
  • Able to use own initiative and think out of the box.
  • A keen and robust team spirit/player.
  • Able to adapt to changes and work effectively as part of a team.
