Job Title: Test Engineer

Main Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough testing of electronic sub-assemblies and completed products to ensure they meet the required standards.
  • Accurately record test results and findings in test logs, providing detailed documentation for future reference.
  • Collaborate with engineers to develop and document test procedures for new products, ensuring seamless integration into our quality management system.
  • Perform visual inspections and electrical testing of components and goods delivered as part of the supply chain, identifying any defects or issues.
  • Work closely with the HSEQ team to implement improvements to processes and quality of production, driving continuous improvement and excellence.
  • Adhere to company HSEQ policies, ensuring a safe working environment and promoting a culture of safety and well-being.
Essential Skills:
  • Minimum 3 years experience as a test engineer within an electronic/electrical manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum HNC or equivalent Level 4 qualification in an engineering discipline, preferably electrical or electronic.
  • Ability to follow technical instructions to the letter, with a logical approach to fault-finding and troubleshooting.
  • Thorough understanding and awareness of the necessary precautions for working with sensitive electronics, including ESD handling and working near high voltages.
  • Familiar with standard electronic test instruments and able to carry out basic repairs to electrical/mechanical equipment, including soldering.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to take on additional responsibility, with excellent team working and communication skills.
  • Experience working within a quality management system and a keen eye for detail, with good numeracy and communication skills.
