Job Summary

We are seeking a Chartered Building Surveyor or Senior Chartered Building Surveyor to work in our Bristol office. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a range of building surveying duties, including building pathology, design and specification of projects, project management, and contract administration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Working across a number of projects in different sectors, providing a range of building surveying duties.
  • Managing the client relationship and service delivery on a project by project basis.
  • Providing building pathology, design and specification of projects, project management, and contract administration services.
  • Due Diligence Surveys, Condition surveys, and Contract administration.
  • Project management, including the use and application of standard forms of building contracts, ideally both JCT and NEC.
  • Designer level ability as defined by the CDM Regulations.

Requirements

  • BSc (Hon's) Building Surveying RICS Accredited degree.
  • Full member of The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
  • Ability to demonstrate good all-round surveying experience.
  • Good team working skills and ability to communicate well at all levels.
  • Prepared to travel within the region, and into other regions where required.
  • Keeping abreast of industry issues and developments in best practice.
  • Strong IT skills, Word and Excel as a minimum. Candidates should be able to produce, edit and format documents.
  • Good ability with AutoCAD and experience of Revit would be an advantage.
  • An awareness of BIM.
  • Full understanding of Health and Safety requirement.
