Job Details
  • Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 per annum (Negotiable depending on experience & skillset)

The Role

The High Voltage Engineer will be responsible for managing the design of the HV system and acting as project manager for the cable installations.

  • Manage the HV designer and subcontractor design activities and deliverables to ensure they are completed in line with the agreed programme and Project requirements.
  • Be the technical lead for the HV works on the project.
  • Manage the MEP designer and subcontractor design activities and deliverables to ensure they are completed in line with the agreed programme and Project requirements.
  • Liaise with the Designer or representative as required under the contract.
  • Work with the Project Team to produce, maintain, and manage the project-integrated management plan and all associated documentation.
Requirements
  • Previous National Grid-related project experience preferably on 400kV and 132 kV circuits - ESSENTIAL
  • 10+ years experience with high voltage projects.
  • Substantial civils/construction and design experience - ESSENTIAL
  • Hold a current UK Driving Licence.
  • Exceptional know-how in implementing and promoting Digital Engineering practices in Design as well as construction.
  • Electrical Engineering apprenticeship, ONC diploma or degree, extensive relevant experience - ESSENTIAL
