Job Title: Registered Nurse - Night Shift
Job Summary:
Avenue House Nursing and Care Home is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team on a night shift basis. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to our residents, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the nursing care of residents, ensuring their individual needs are met and their dignity is respected.
- Administer medications, treatments, and other interventions as prescribed by the doctor, ensuring accurate and timely administration.
- Develop and maintain accurate and comprehensive nursing care plans, ensuring they are aligned with the resident's goals and preferences.
- Collaborate with the care team to ensure seamless delivery of care, including communication with family members and other healthcare professionals.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of policies and procedures that enhance the quality of care.
- Contribute to the maintenance of a safe and clean environment, adhering to infection control and health and safety protocols.
Requirements:
- Registered Nurse qualification (RGN, RMN, or RNLD) and current registration with the NMC.
- Minimum of one year's experience in a residential or nursing home setting, with at least one year's experience in caring for individuals with dementia.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, families, and colleagues.
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively to meet deadlines.
- Flexibility to work night shifts, including weekends and bank holidays, as required.
