The Recruitment Co is seeking a skilled professional for our client, a prominent entity in the automotive sector.
As a result of expanding operations, we are looking to bring on board an automotive electrical technician for a permanent position.
Compensation:
£35,000 annually
Working Hours:
7am-3.30pm - Monday to Thursday and 7am-2.15pm Friday (5-Day Week)
8am-4.30pm - Monday to Thursday and 8am-3.15pm Friday (5-Day Week)
7am-5pm - Monday to Wednesday and 7am-4.30pm Thursday (4-Day Week)
Position Overview:
The successful candidate will collaborate with a team to install a variety of aftermarket electrical components.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation of all wiring and electrical apparatus including inverters, roof lights, solar panels, beacons, water tanks, and night heaters.
  • Conduct repairs, troubleshoot, and diagnose electrical issues.
  • Fabricate and manage wiring looms and split charge systems.
  • Design and modify electrical systems as necessary.
  • Support the joinery team in the installation of wooden structures.
  • Ensure all tasks are completed to a high standard of quality.

Qualifications / Skills:

  • Completion of an approved apprenticeship or NVQ level 3 in the installation and maintenance of automotive electrical systems.
  • Proficient in diagnosing electrical faults.
  • Comfortable using power tools, including voltage and current meters.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and manual dexterity.
  • Capable of performing diagnostic electrical tests.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Adept at reading schematic diagrams.
  • Proficient in soldering techniques.
