OSINT Tradecraft Methodologist

The Opportunity:

Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking an experienced Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT) Tradecraft Methodologist to join our team. As an OSINT Tradecraft Methodologist, you will analyze and evaluate OSINT and Publicly Available Information (PAI) tradecraft and tools. Your expertise will be instrumental in documenting OSINT and PAI tradecraft, including tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs), for collection, processing, exploiting, disseminating, and integrating PAI across multiple intelligence disciplines and systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate TTPs to collect PAI and identify, test, and document methodologies to overcome technical or behavioral roadblocks for PAI collection.
  • Develop a portfolio of Data Assessment Report products and OSINT products, such as methodology notes and training slides, to further develop AFRICOM OSINT collection capabilities.
  • Manage access to data sets, tool subscriptions, and associated purchases to maintain capabilities for the collection team.

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience with OSINT.
  • Experience evaluating TTPs to collect PAI and identifying, testing, and documenting methodologies to overcome technical or behavioral roadblocks for PAI collection.
  • Experience with IC analytical writing standards and product publications, employing a variety of OSINT or PAI tools, and evaluating data sets or tools to support USAFRICOM use cases.
  • Knowledge of advanced research methodologies and OPSEC risks associated with PAI collection.
  • Ability to distill complex technical topics into usable tradecraft for collectors.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, succinctly brief client leadership and colleagues on methodology development and TTPs, and provide tailored content to foreign partners.
  • TS/SCI clearance.
  • HS diploma or GED.
  • Completion of DoD-approved or Commercial Vendor OSINT Methodology Training such as CASO, SANS 497, or MacAfee Certification.
  • Active passport with at least 6 months validity for the purposes of visa applications.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience writing OSINT reports and common intelligence reporting methods.
  • Experience with the AFRICOM area of responsibility.
  • Experience conducting OSINT research and collection in different languages.
  • Knowledge of using Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Completion of Government-provided or commercially available OSINT Courses.

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.
