Video Architect Job DescriptionWe are a prominent iGaming development company, Tain, with a strong presence in the Asia market, dedicated to delivering cutting-edge products and immersive gaming experiences worldwide.
We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Video Architect to lead the design and development of advanced live streaming solutions for us.
As a Video Architect, you will be responsible for creating scalable, high-performance video & audio platforms and ensuring seamless integration with various business systems.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and develop robust, scalable, and secure video delivery systems, including live streaming, video-on-demand (VoD), content delivery networks (CDN), and encoding/decoding pipelines.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance on best practices for video technology, including video compression standards, codecs, protocols (HLS, DASH), and emerging trends such as Ultra HD and VR/AR video.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate video solutions with existing systems, platforms, and third-party APIs, ensuring a smooth user experience and high-quality video delivery.
- Lead the technical architecture of video projects from conception to deployment, ensuring deadlines are met, and systems are built with scalability, reliability, and security in mind.
- Work closely with product managers, sales, and customers to understand business requirements and translate them into innovative video solutions that meet market needs.
- Continuously monitor and optimize video delivery systems for performance, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness, implementing solutions for scaling video platforms.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience (5+ years) as a Solution Architect, Technical Lead, or similar role, with a focus on video technologies and platforms.
- Strong knowledge of video codecs (H.264, H.265), video processing tools, cloud-based video platforms (AWS Elemental, Azure Media Services), and content management systems (CMS).
- Hands-on experience with video compression, encoding, and transcoding techniques.
- Proficiency in software development languages such as Python, Java, or C++ is a plus.
- Familiarity with containerisation and microservices architecture (Docker, Kubernetes) is a bonus.
