The Role - Lead Quality Engineer
This is an exciting opportunity for an accomplished Quality Engineer to lead the quality engineering function for a successful aerospace engineering company in Gloucestershire. Your role will be to drive the development of policies, procedures, and methods to improve the quality of products, materials, components, or operations. You'll need to possess strong aerospace Quality experience and be comfortable leading a small team of Quality Engineers and Technicians.

Key Responsibilities - Lead Quality Engineer

  1. Lead and mentor a team of quality engineers to ensure the highest standards of quality are maintained.
  2. Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance systems and processes to drive continuous improvement.
  3. Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions to resolve quality issues.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality is integrated continuously throughout the organization.
  5. Analyze quality data and metrics to identify areas for improvement and drive business growth.
  6. Drive continuous improvement initiatives using quality management methodologies to enhance the quality of products and services.
  7. Interface with customers and regulatory agencies regarding quality issues and ensure timely resolution.
  8. Prepare and present quality reports, metrics, and recommendations to stakeholders.

Requirements - Lead Quality Engineer

Extensive aerospace industry experience with a strong understanding of quality management principles.Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and develop a team.Strong Quality Toolbox with the ability to analyze and resolve complex quality issues.Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field preferred.
