Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our dynamic housekeeping team as a Housekeeping Assistant. This is a 25-hour per week role that requires a strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a clean, tidy, and hygienic environment for patients, families, and staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in maintaining a clean and organized environment throughout the hospice, including patient rooms, common areas, and facilities.
  • Develop and implement effective cleaning schedules and protocols to ensure a high standard of cleanliness.
  • Collaborate with the estates and facilities team to ensure that all cleaning equipment and supplies are maintained and replenished as needed.
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients, families, and staff, responding to their needs and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Work closely with the hospitality team to ensure that all areas of the hospice are clean and tidy, including the kitchen, dining areas, and patient lounges.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a cleaning or hospitality role, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Knowledge of COSHH and infection control procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with patients, families, and staff from diverse backgrounds.
  • Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to work varied shifts and respond to changing priorities.
