Classroom Support Specialist

Venesky-Brown's client, a public sector organisation, is seeking a Classroom Support worker to provide essential support to learners in a Motherwell-based campus. This part-time role will involve working 2-3 days a week, with a competitive hourly rate of £14.70.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide classroom support to enable learners to access the curriculum, including notetaking, prompting, reading, and scribing.
- Assist with assessment and exam arrangements as required.
- Monitor learner support needs and provide feedback to the Access & Educational Support Team.
- Organise and prioritise technical/classroom support to meet service requirements.
- Liaise with teaching staff to facilitate student learning and ensure learners have access to assistive technology and resources.
- Previous experience working with people with disabilities or other support needs.
- Experience working in an educational environment.
- HNC level qualification or educational comparability.
- Computer literacy, including Microsoft packages.
- Strong communication skills (spoken and written) and ability to prioritise workload.
- Experience working with a 16+ client group.
- Experience of note-taking.
