About the Role:

As a Principal Nuclear Environmental Consultant at Jacobs, you will play a key role in leading our environmental consulting services for nuclear clients. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and developing innovative solutions to complex environmental challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead environmental consulting projects for nuclear clients, ensuring high-quality deliverables and excellent client service.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to drive business growth and deliver results.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior team members, promoting knowledge sharing and best practices.
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant regulations, industry developments, and emerging trends, applying this knowledge to drive innovation and improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement effective environmental management systems and strategies.
  • Contribute to business development initiatives, identifying new opportunities and developing proposals to secure new clients and projects.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree or equivalent in a relevant environmental or physical science discipline.
  • Significant experience in a senior environmental consulting role, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality results and leading teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams.
  • Strong technical knowledge of environmental regulations, policies, and industry best practices.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Desirable Qualities:

  • Chartered status or equivalent in a relevant environmental or physical science discipline.
  • Recognized technical leadership within the industry, with a strong reputation for expertise and innovation.
  • Practical experience of environmental management on nuclear sites, with a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities in this field.
  • Willingness to travel on business, with flexibility to work on-site at client locations or in our offices.
