Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Class 1 HGV Driver to join our team at Recruit Right. The ideal candidate will be responsible for collecting materials from customers across the country in a walking floor trailer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive a Class 1 HGV in a safe and efficient manner
  • Transport and collect goods over local or long-distance routes
  • Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and safety concerns
  • Plan routes and meet delivery schedules
  • Document and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving
  • Operate walking floor trailers

Shift and Pay Information:

We offer a range of shifts, including:

  • Monday to Sunday
  • 3AM-6AM start times
  • Average 10 hour shifts
  • 1-5 nights out per week, with a £40 payment per night out
  • £15 per hour for Monday to Friday shifts
  • £18 per hour for Saturday and Sunday shifts

Requirements:

  • 1+ year Class 1 HGV CAT C+E entitlement
  • Valid CPC and Tachograph Card
  • Extensive knowledge of applicable HGV driving rules and regulations
  • No more than 6 points for minor offences
  • Good customer service skills
  • Able to carry out manual handling

About the Role:

This is a full-time, temp-to-perm position with the opportunity to earn up to £1200+ per week.
