Position Overview:

As a Control Systems Engineer, you will be an integral part of our engineering team at Supersede Recruitment Partners, contributing to the success of a leading global Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) organization. This role is essential for maintaining and enhancing our automation systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

In this role, you will be responsible for:
  • Overseeing all automation machinery on-site, including PLCs, inverters, SCADA systems, and servers.
  • Assisting in the initiation of new automation systems, ensuring that all programming and configurations align with established specifications and validation standards.
  • Effectively managing the factory's PLC, SCADA, and IT network systems to meet availability targets and uphold data integrity, while ensuring compliance with business standards and audit requirements.
  • Developing user manuals and operational procedures for new systems, including commissioning and start-up processes.
  • Providing expert guidance and support in troubleshooting complex automation hardware, software, instrumentation, and process issues to maintain system readiness.
  • Ensuring that all technical documentation, including signage, tagging, P&ID, electrical schematics, and manuals, is current and accessible to all engineering personnel.
  • Extracting relevant data from automation systems to assist production or quality assurance teams as needed.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess:
  • A HNC/HND in Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience in FMCG automation or control systems.
  • Expertise in PLC automation control system start-ups, loop tuning, and modifications to control systems.
  • Experience in developing process control systems or equipment control applications utilizing PLC ladder and function block logic.
  • Equivalent combinations of education, training, and relevant work experience may also be considered.
