Position Overview

This organization operates within a multifaceted and intriguing financial landscape, necessitating a comprehensive approach to accounting practices, particularly in areas such as revenue recognition and the management of intangible assets. The company's public listing underscores the importance of a solid framework for governance, risk management, compliance, and financial reporting. This role will play a pivotal part in the accounting division, emphasizing the application and interpretation of IFRS standards.

We are in search of a qualified accountant, preferably with an ACA background, who possesses a strong technical foundation and extensive experience with IFRS (experience with IFRS 15 and IFRS 38 is a plus). The ideal candidate will be curious and willing to question existing practices. This position is suitable for individuals transitioning from practice to industry or those already engaged in a technical or financial accounting capacity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and implement IFRS accounting standards and regulatory requirements across all segments of the organization.
  • Draft and assess technical accounting documentation for significant matters.
  • Guarantee that financial statements are compiled in accordance with IFRS standards.
  • Formulate and revise accounting policies to ensure adherence to IFRS and other regulatory mandates.
  • Consult with stakeholders on intricate IFRS issues and their potential effects on financial reporting.
  • Collaborate with external auditors during interim reviews and annual audits to resolve IFRS related concerns.
  • Provide insights and refresh accounting policies in line with evolving industry standards and best practices.
  • Assist with various aspects of financial accounting, external reporting, and board governance.

This position offers a hybrid working model, requiring 2-3 days in the office each week. The salary range for this role is between £70,000-80,000, commensurate with experience, along with benefits that include a 10% bonus, a health cash plan, 25 days of annual leave, and a share save scheme.
