About the RoleAs an SEMH teacher, you will work directly with young people, guiding them to get the best from their education. This opportunity is suitable for teachers who have a passion for engaging hard-to-reach pupils and a strong classroom presence.
You will engage children and young people in innovative, therapeutic, and meaningful activities, supporting them in learning to reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities- Manage challenging behaviour positively and in line with the school's ethos and procedures.
- Ensure lessons are planned to meet the needs of children.
- Provide a positive and nurturing environment for children with a range of needs.
- Motivate, engage, and inspire children.
- A dedication to the safeguarding of young people.
- Follow the school's policies and procedures.
- Qualified teacher status (QTS) or other teaching qualification.
- Specific experience working with children with SEMH needs is desirable.
To be eligible for this role through Prospero Teaching, you must:
- Hold an enhanced DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application.
- Provide two professional child-related references that cover the last two years.
