Position Overview
This role reports directly to the Financial Controller and serves as a vital support function within the finance team. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Generating reports from the financial software 'Great Plains' (MS Dynamics) and exporting them to Excel. This includes monthly self-bill reports, BACS Remittances, monthly statements, and aged debt reports.
  • Issuing monthly sales invoices to franchisees for royalty and central fees, along with any additional invoices such as rebates.
  • Conducting weekly bank reconciliations.
  • Processing weekly payments to franchisees, as well as other occasional bank transactions and transfers.
  • Addressing customer inquiries regarding refunds and processing them as necessary.
  • Providing ad-hoc financial analysis related to sales revenue, cash allocation, and cost inquiries.
  • Offering essential financial support to business development managers and internal sales teams.
  • Assisting with Month End Close and Reporting activities.
  • Contributing to data collection for Year End Reporting and Audit processes.
  • Supporting compliance with tax regulations and legislative requirements.

Qualifications Required
The ideal candidate will possess AAT qualifications and have either commenced or be eager to pursue ACCA or CIMA qualifications. A minimum of two years' experience in accounting and finance is required, along with proficient knowledge of MS Excel. Experience in a service or contracting environment would be advantageous. Key personal attributes include strong interpersonal skills, a collaborative spirit, enthusiasm, and the ability to work independently.
