We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team at Jenrick Engineering. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the availability and reliability of our production process machinery and equipment.
Main Responsibilities- Perform routine, planned, and preventative maintenance work on production process machinery and equipment to ensure their optimal performance and efficiency.
- Conduct thorough fault analysis and timely repairs to plant machinery and equipment, with a focus on mixing plant and extrusion machinery.
- Install, modify, and refurbish machinery and equipment, including site utility services, to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
- Monitor and report the status of plant and extrusion machinery on a regular basis.
- Participate in regular meetings with the Maintenance Manager and other maintenance and production personnel to review the status of all plant and machinery and to develop a schedule of work.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including completion of job cards, PMs, and follow-up actions.
- Document equipment maintenance and repairs.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality and efficiency.
- Perform general facilities maintenance and repair work as required.
- Mechanical or electrical apprenticeship and/or a HNC in Mechanical/Electrical engineering or a similar relevant qualification.
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations and experience with turning, milling, and bench work, as well as basic welding and fabrication.
- Previous maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the plastics or extrusion industry.
- Sound mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of mechanical aspects of manufacturing machinery and equipment.
- Excellent knowledge and proven competence in general maintenance skills, including fault analysis, problem-solving, and troubleshooting experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, automated equipment, electrics, and electric motors.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills to effectively collaborate with maintenance team members, managers, production supervisors, and other plant functions.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently as required.
- Eligibility to live and work in the EU and fluency in English, both written and spoken.
- Confident and enthusiastic individual with a 'can-do' attitude.
