ISG is a forward-thinking construction and engineering firm that specializes in delivering large-scale, intricate projects throughout the UK. We are currently seeking an Electrical Technical Services Manager to join our expanding HTM division, focusing on the delivery of a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility.
Role Purpose
To ensure the provision of high-quality services and products to our clients, aligning with project objectives by collaborating with the Professional team, Trades, Vendors, and adhering to ISG's systems, procedures, and culture. This role is a managerial position, where the successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and presenting reports, participating in meetings with Delivery Partners, Clients, and their Customers, and overseeing Engineering delivery on-site, including Quality and Health and Safety aspects. Although commissioning is outsourced, the TSM is expected to play an active role in the commissioning and project closeout phases.Key Accountabilities
Oversee the Temporary site Electrical utilities package for a major pharmaceutical project, from procurement through installation to commissioning, reporting directly to the Electrical Lead. Identify issues and propose effective solutions. Manage a variety of general, specialist, and service contractors. Coordinate the Site-wide Temporary Builders Supply. Oversee the Temporary Electrical Generator Supplies and their distribution, ensuring safety and necessary modifications. Manage the Temporary Water Supplies. Coordinate the permanent MEP and IT installation and commissioning for Site Accommodation. Supervise the Earthing procedures on-site. Assist in the design development and coordination of mechanical and electrical services related to logistics, security, CCTV access control, fire suppression, hydrant main, water main, and data services. Develop quality control procedures, scheduling, and sequencing of works, including modular construction. Manage the production of drawings relevant to the temporary electrical package. Review requests from construction teams regarding temporary electrical site needs and collaborate with electrical contractors to schedule installation works. Provide technical support and industry expertise to the construction team. Monitor the temporary electrical installation to ensure compliance with Health & Safety and electrical regulations. Manage trade contractors relevant to the package of works. Collaborate with trade contractors to establish quality sign-off schedules for the package of works. Review, monitor, and inspect the quality of workmanship on-site, ensuring compliance with Employer's requirements. Track trade contractor progress on-site, conduct regular progress meetings, and identify any program risks while proposing mitigation strategies. Review, comment on, and approve Risk Assessment Method Statements (RAMs). Ensure Health and Safety compliance on-site. Manage temporary supplies for commissioning activities as required to meet program timelines. Establish commissioning sign-offs and understand the commissioning strategy. Assist the Commissioning Team in achieving project completion. Provide information to the proposal team when necessary. Actively promote ISG's philosophy and culture. Produce clear and concise project reports. Monitor the program and contribute to mitigation measures. Offer buildability advice and value engineering solutions. Promote and implement the Zero Defects quality initiative, ensuring the project meets high-quality standards. Implement Best Practices to ensure safe and timely delivery.Skills & Experience
Comprehensive knowledge of the construction process. Ability to gather information from the supply chain to prepare drawings and schedules. Experience in construction projects within the electrical discipline. Understanding of compliance with Health & Safety policies and management systems. Experience in the pharmaceutical sector.Qualifications
Recognized qualification in Electrical Engineering. CSCS card holder.#LI-MO1
