We are seeking a skilled and motivated Town Planner to join our esteemed architecture and planning firm based in Truro, Cornwall. Our multi-disciplinary team of planners, designers, architects, and landscape architects collaborates on a diverse portfolio of commercial and residential projects across the South.

About the Role:

  • You will play a key role in preparing and submitting planning applications, providing expert advice on planning matters, and conducting land development assessments.
  • Your responsibilities will encompass attending internal and external meetings throughout the planning process, ensuring you stay abreast of local and national planning policy changes.
  • Collaboration is at the heart of our work, so you'll be working closely with the land and technical teams, contributing to monthly progress reports and supporting the Planning Director.

Your Expertise:

  • Proven experience as a Town Planner in either the public or private sector is essential.
  • Ideally, you hold a relevant degree and are working towards Chartership (MRTPI).
  • Client-facing experience and a strong understanding of major development projects are crucial. Experience with renewable energy projects would be highly advantageous.
