Commercial Estimator Job Description

Expert Construction is seeking a skilled Commercial Estimator to join their team in the Dungiven area. As a key member of the commercial team, you will be responsible for compiling and distributing tender packages, ensuring subcontractor work is handled with precision.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Tender Package Management: Take charge of compiling and distributing tender packages, ensuring subcontractor work is handled with finesse.
  • Tender Analysis and Negotiation: Dive deep into tender analyses, conducting negotiations and analyses of subcontractor work packages that drive success.
  • Subcontract Order Management: Be the architect of efficiency, generating, distributing, and maintaining subcontract orders and variations to keep projects on track.
  • Financial Management: Navigate the financial landscape with finesse, processing subcontract payments, variations, and final accounts like a seasoned pro.
  • Cost Control: Be aware of project costs, completing monthly Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs) and cost reporting that charts the course for profitability.
  • Estimation and Analysis: Be the guardian of accuracy, overseeing the estimation process for construction projects with an eagle eye for detail.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate seamlessly with project managers and stakeholders, gathering essential information for estimates that exceed expectations.
  • Project Planning and Analysis: Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documents with a keen eye, unraveling complexities and uncovering hidden opportunities.
  • Cost Estimation: Create detailed cost estimates that encompass labor, materials, and equipment costs, painting a vivid picture of success.
  • Cost Monitoring: Monitor project costs throughout construction, identifying areas for cost control and leading the charge towards efficiency and profitability.
