About the Role

The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Digital Information Officer (CDIO) to lead the Digital Information Directorate. As a key member of the Executive Group, you will play a critical role in shaping the Service's vision and objectives for the future.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement an operating model to meet the CPS's future strategic ambitions.
  • Define and establish a clear performance management process for the Digital Information Directorate.
  • Lead the Digital & Major Projects Group, providing strategic leadership and decision-making.
  • Develop digital strategies and business plans that support the CPS's vision.
  • Drive digital transformation and operational system modernization.
Requirements
  • Experience of leading delivery in both waterfall and Agile project management environments.
  • Track record of delivering high-performing digital services in complex environments.
  • Champion digital innovation and thought leadership in AI and emerging technologies.
  • Strong appetite for creative and innovative solutions that align with the CPS's long-term strategy.
About the Digital Information Directorate

The Digital Information Directorate is a team of approximately 300 members of staff with an overall budget of approximately £85 million. The Directorate is responsible for driving digital transformation throughout the CPS, ensuring the organization is well-positioned to harness new technologies to their greatest extent.
