Job Title: Public Health Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Public Health Design Engineer to join our team at Hoare Lea. As a Public Health Design Engineer, you will be responsible for providing detailed, coordinated, and cost-efficient public health design advice to our clients.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work on a wide range of projects across various sectors, including education, healthcare, retail, residential, and commercial. You will be working closely with our team of engineers, designers, and technical specialists to deliver innovative solutions to complex engineering and design challenges.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop public health systems, including above and below-ground drainage systems, rainwater and roof drainage designs, hot and cold-water services, and fire suppression systems.
  • Work closely with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored design solutions.
  • Collaborate with our team to ensure that designs are coordinated, cost-efficient, and meet the required standards.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices to ensure that our designs are innovative and effective.
Requirements
  • Experience in public health design, with a strong understanding of drainage services, including rainwater and domestic water services.
  • Ability to produce calculations, reports, and specifications with good written communication skills.
  • Attendance at design team meetings and client meetings.
  • Site inspection duties.
  • Proficient in CAD and Revit.
  • Conversant with relevant British Standards.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
