Commercial Finance Manager - Construction Sector

Howett Thorpe is seeking an experienced Commercial Finance Manager to join their team in the construction sector. The successful candidate will play a critical role in overseeing financial operations within a project-focused environment.

About the Role
  • Provide financial leadership and guidance on all aspects of project financial management.
  • Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports for construction projects.
  • Analyse financial data to support decision-making processes and optimise project performance.
  • Collaborate with project managers to ensure alignment on financial strategies and objectives.
  • Monitor and report on project financial performance, identifying areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities.

The successful Commercial Finance Manager will be responsible for developing the financial controls within the project finance team to ensure that the objectives are being met.

Requirements
  • CIMA / ACA / ACCA (or equivalent) qualified.
  • Experience of working within either engineering, oil & gas, construction or engineering.
  • Proven experience in commercial finance management, preferably within the construction industry.
  • Strong analytical skills and financial acumen, with the ability to interpret complex financial information.
  • Experience of working within a project forecasting environment.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
