Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Assembly Specialist to join our team at AMETEK. As an Assembly Specialist, you will be responsible for building mechanical and electrical assemblies to technical drawings, SOPs, and CMMs.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Assemble mechanical and electrical components to drawing and/or CMM specifications.
  • Upgrade and repair mechanical and electrical assemblies.
  • Test assembled products to ensure quality and functionality.
  • Use basic hand tools and measuring equipment, including torque drivers, crimping tools, micrometers, and verniers.
  • Solder small components.
  • Perform mechanical and electrical tests as defined in process control documents.
  • Adhere to company manufacturing procedures and complete relevant documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, suppliers, and visitors.
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement and 5S activities.
  • Use personal protective equipment as required.
  • Meet manufacturing targets and take on ad-hoc duties as needed.

Requirements:

  • Ability to read and understand drawings, SOPs, and CMMs.
  • Knowledge of tools, including circlip pliers, pliers, screwdrivers, tweezers, scrapers, and Swiss files.
  • Soldering skills on small components.
  • Experience in a production environment, assembling electro-mechanical products.
  • Ability to work in a team, with good time management and communication skills.
  • Methodical and logical approach to work.

Standard Company Responsibilities:

  • Understand and apply the Business Management System to the role.
  • Adhere to Health and Safety requirements.
  • Report any issues that could affect the business.
  • Carry out duties in line with Company policies and procedures.
