The Role
We are currently seeking to appoint a Senior Manager within our CTAC team. The ideal candidate will excel at forging strong relationships, mentoring junior staff, delivering exceptional client service, and identifying business development prospects. Position Summary
This exciting opportunity is situated within our CTAC team. We are in search of a skilled individual at the Senior Manager level to support our ongoing rapid expansion. The successful candidate will thrive in a dynamic and challenging environment, backed by a strong and ambitious leadership team.
You will engage with a varied portfolio of clients, including UK-listed companies, private equity-backed firms, and family-owned groups, while undertaking a range of advisory projects, such as tax structuring, domestic tax guidance, and international advisory services. Previous experience with multinational entities is advantageous, but strong technical skills, motivation, and curiosity are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Overseeing the effective delivery of high-quality advice, including tax structuring, refinancing, legal structure optimization, pre/post-transaction reorganizations, tax authority inquiries, compliance tasks, and providing technical support to the broader corporate tax team.Acting as a vital team member to deliver International and Complex UK Tax Advisory services, aiding our clients in achieving their commercial goals while managing the compliance process.Collaborating with specialists from other departments and international offices to coordinate their contributions to tax advisory projects.Mentoring and developing junior team members.Managing various aspects of the team's operations and performance, including resource allocation.Building and maintaining strong client relationships and understanding their business needs to create opportunities for tax and other services.Preparing proposals for new projects, including drafting tender documents, presenting at client pitches, and identifying solutions for client challenges.Proactively seeking and pursuing business opportunities while actively supporting Directors and Partners in business development efforts.Exemplifying KPMG's values.Qualifications, Experience, and Skills:
ACA, CA, CTA, ACCA, or equivalent qualification with a solid foundation in corporate tax and accounting.Proven ability to develop, mentor, and lead staff, as well as manage stakeholder relationships.Strong interpersonal skills complemented by excellent oral and written communication abilities.Well-honed analytical skills and a commercial mindset for resolving issues and providing advice.Proactive in identifying and advancing business opportunities for the long-term benefit of both KPMG and the client.Ability to manage multiple projects and relationships simultaneously.High levels of motivation and enthusiasm with a positive outlook.Commitment to continuous technical knowledge development.Inquisitive nature with a keen attention to detail.
