About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Anaesthetist to join our team at Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our anaesthesia department, you will be responsible for providing a comprehensive anaesthesia service to patients aged 2 years and above.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provision of anaesthesia services to elective and emergency patients
  • Preoperative assessment, intraoperative care, and postoperative prescriptions
  • Participation in out-of-hours Generalist Consultant in Anaesthesia on-call rota
  • Support for medical emergency teams, including adult and paediatric 'crash' teams
  • Compliance with national and trust guidelines, including NICE and RCoA

Person Specification

  • Entry on GMC Specialist Register or eligible for entry within six months of receipt of Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT)
  • FRCA or equivalent qualification
  • ALS or ATLS certification
