Job Title: Assistant Buyer

AWE plc is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Assistant Buyer to join our procurement team. As an Assistant Buyer, you will play a key role in supporting the procurement function to ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the end-to-end process of purchase orders, including expediting and resolving invoice queries.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery and payment of invoices.
  • Assist with data collection and validation to support reporting and analysis.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and develop effective procurement strategies.
Requirements:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven experience in procurement or a related field, with a strong understanding of procurement principles and practices.
  • Proficient in MS Office, including Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work calmly and constructively in a fast-paced environment, with a flexible approach to meeting deadlines.
