This position is ideal for a qualified Project Quantity Surveyor, Quantity Surveyor, or Lead Quantity Surveyor who possesses a strong background in managing M&E projects valued at over 10 million.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cost Management: Develop and oversee cost estimates, budgets, and financial plans. Track project expenditures to ensure alignment with budgetary constraints.
  • Tendering and Procurement: Create comprehensive tender documents, contracts, and bills of quantities. Assess and negotiate agreements with subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Valuation and Variations: Execute valuations and manage variations and change orders. Ensure timely and accurate payment applications and final accounts.
  • Risk Management: Identify and evaluate project risks, formulating strategies for mitigation and advising on potential impacts.
  • Reporting: Generate detailed reports on project status, cost management, and financial outcomes. Communicate findings effectively to stakeholders.
  • Compliance: Guarantee adherence to contractual obligations, regulatory standards, and health and safety requirements.
  • Collaboration: Partner closely with project managers, engineers, architects, and other key stakeholders to achieve project objectives.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in quantity surveying within the M&E sector.
  • Experience managing M&E projects with a minimum value of 10 million.
  • In-depth knowledge of M&E systems and construction methodologies.
  • Proficient in quantity surveying software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
