Job Overview

The post holder will provide comprehensive administrative support to the surgical division, ensuring accurate and timely recording of patient data on WPAS. This includes collecting, recording, analysing, interpreting and reporting of data required to monitor compliance with the Welsh Assembly Government Referral to Treatment Time (RTT) and Service and Financial Framework annual targets.

Main Duties
  1. Communicate with clinical and non-clinical members of the healthcare team to facilitate patient care, arranging appointments or referrals as necessary.
  2. Proactively manage patient progress through the pathway, identifying and addressing any concerns relating to waiting times and treatment schedules.
  3. Use judgement to ensure timely clinical decisions are made in relation to individual patient diagnostic needs.
  4. Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure effective communication and coordination of patient care.
