As a gameplay engineer, your role will involve:

  • Collaborating closely with Creative Direction and fellow engineers to create efficient and maintainable game systems.
  • Utilizing your strong debugging and optimization skills to enhance gameplay experiences.
  • Building and maintaining player-centric gameplay systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, prototype, implement, and evaluate gameplay features and their supporting systems.
  • Develop tools or debugging features to assist designers or programmers in crafting gameplay elements.
  • Engage with other engineers and designers to create systems for the game.
  • Work in coordination with various teams to foster collaborative efforts.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Over 5 years of software development experience in the gaming or film sectors.
  • Proficient understanding of Unreal Engine, encompassing both Blueprints and core C++ modules.
  • Strong capabilities in modern C++ (C++17/20).
  • Expertise in modern Python along with relevant frameworks and libraries.
  • Familiarity with source control systems and collaborative development practices, including git and perforce.
  • Experience in developing gameplay features within a multiplayer context.
  • Exceptional debugging and optimization skills.
  • Outstanding problem-solving capabilities.
  • Driven by solutions and self-motivated.
